Is there such a thing as a soul
So from my understanding (im not necesarrily a buddhist), there isn't necessarily a thing as a soul in buddhism. Yet the buddha said that he remembered his past lives. Which would be different from my past lives. So doesnt that mean there is something such as a soul? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I have tried to look this up but people explained it in a way that was difficult to understand so if you could explain it somewhat simply for a non buddhist that would be great thank you.
