Is Buddhism a religion or philosophy?

Hello friends, I'm here to ask a question that I guess many don't actually know how to answer. I've been involved in some discussions today with some friends of mine, where we discussed how can Buddhism better be classified, and all of them agree that Buddhism is a religion (with all the humbleness, I don't think they understand a thing about Buddhism), where I think it isn't, because there is no god nor supernatural stuff etc. What do you guys think? What is the most correct way to classify Buddhism?
