Question on music!

I stopped listening to music once I realized music playing in my head gets increasingly distracting as concentration/stillness builds.

Still, there’s residue of music that hasn’t gone away yet. Are there methods to train the brain “no, not right now”? Bringing the mind continually back to the meditation object might be working, but music is quite powerful so it’s hard to tell. Love you all! :)
