Value judgments and morality
It's common practice in buddhist and buddhist-ish circles to practice non-judgment of experience. How does this coexist with the moral, value-judgment laden language of Buddhist scriptures? It seems that on one hand, value judgments are let go of in the name of equanimity, but a lot of Buddhist writing is based around the value-judgments oriented around liberation and continuing to exist in Samsara.
For example, I posted a month ago roughly asking about a sutra that lead students to abandon particular thoughts. This seemed to conflict with the idea of equanimity and not making value judgments about the things that pop into our heads. What do you think of this?
