Laughing and Weeping Buddha
I assume that after enlightenment Buddha no longer experienced suffering or any emotions connected with desire. So why is there a laughing and weeping Buddha? In the story of the Weeping Buddha, he observes the world's suffering and starts crying. Are these metaphors or folk traditions added later, because if this story is regarded as true, then it implies that Buddha stull suffers.
