Forcing

Hello, I'd need your help. Since I have interested in Buddhism, I feel worse than before. I have started thinking more about my thoughts, about what I'm doing, etc. It made my feelings even worse. I can't meditate, because everytime when I try to meditate I start forcing myself into focus and I can't stop that. I tell myself everytime:"I should be present, should focus on breathing, etc." Letting go doesn't work. Since I have known buddhism, I started forcing myself into every kind of doing. Please help me. I'll be glad for any advice.
