Reincarnation and Other Realms

I have been a not always consistent follower/practitioner of buddhism (mainly zen) for years. I have no doubts about the efficacy of meditation and the root causes of suffering in terms of ego attachment and extinguishing craving. I do, however, have a hard time accepting reincarnation or the existence of other realms. I simply haven't experienced anything that provides me with evidence that these things exist. I am wondering this community's thoughts on these subjects. I continue my practice but don't feel engaged when teachings/talks venture into these areas. What do you all think?
