The Everything Buddhism Book (Chapter 3, Page 31, ARNIE KOZAK, PhD) : The First Noble Truth
"If your sense of contentment is based on others, then you are vulnerable to suffering. You may be looking forward to a night out with your partner. You fantasies how the evening will go. This fantasy fills you with a sense of expectation. It also makes you vulnerable. Suddenly, your partner calls and he must beg-out of the plans because of work. If you remain attached to the fantasy, you may now feel let down, even angry. Your happiness was contingent on things going a certain way, and when they didn't happen, there was no more happiness."
