How do I stop "sucking it up" and work with my emotions instead?
It has to do with my ego, my self, and what I like/want. When I "suck it up", anxiety collects in my chest, and I become depressed/numb. I'm not against helping others as like as I want to do it. I'm willing to do things I don't like, but I have trouble working with my emotions on that. I only know how to repress or ignore them.
