Sri Lanka and Buddhism

Hi guys, has anyone ever been to Sri Lanka?

If so, what do you recommend I do and see on a spiritual note?

There are a ton of Buddhist monasteries and I can't even begin to choose. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
