Lying and karma review

So i would like to move out of my parents home but the only house in my budget called for all girls so i lied and told them my friend and I who wants to split a room were a gay couple. I generally feel really bad about lying and since I became more interested in my spirituality I have confessed and owned up to %100 of my lies, but this one (although I do feel bad about it) I think im going to keep. What do you guys think, its kinda for survival in a way. I intend to tell them after they get to know us or i could just act like we separated but stayed friends. I just dont know how this will effect me
