Replacing exercise with prostrations?
I belong to a Korean Zen school which emphasizes daily prostrations. I've really embraced as particularly helpful performing a set (108) before sitting practice.
I'd like to experiment with adding more sets to my daily routine. Currently, I do one set and run three to five miles a day. However, it's getting blistery and unpleasant to run where I live. My plan is to gradually shift from the time spent running to working on prostrations.
Does anybody have experience with a high number of prostrations and could lend any advice? And do prostrations provide enough physical exercise that I could use them as my primary work out?
