Impermanence, no-self, meditation and higher levels of consciousness in other religious disciplines?

Do concepts like impermanence, no-self, meditation be found in other religions? For instance can prayer and chant be a form of meditation that simply isn't focused on the breath? Do spiritual trance rituals whereby practitioners are possessed by spirits, preformed in some native american, african and aboriginal religious systems be forms of practicing "no-self"? Is wabi sabi just another observation of impermanence? I'm curious of thoughts.
