Death in Buddhism
So my grandpa died the other day. I'm currently reading a little in to Buddhism and for that I'm kind of new to the circle or rebirth. At first I found it somehow grateful, that the soul won't disappear and there will be new life. But on second thought, I recognized, that beyond "forced" to live another live in pain in order too seek enlightment is a little downgrading my view on my grandpas live. For him being reborn means, not having accomplished the only thing of enduring importance for each being in the world. And I while I see, that he was in no kind into buddhist practice, I don't want to overshadow this non-accomplishment over the great person, of course which his flaws, he was. See too negative for me.
Am I not getting something, or is this the way death by non-buddhist are seen? Thanks for responds, have a good day.
