Can one become a monk without leaving everything behind?
The context of my question is Japanese Buddhism. I have met many monks who own their own temple and also have a family. I imagine most of these men became a monk, studied the dharma, obtained rank, then got married. In this context is it possible for one to not leave a loved fully but be a monk.
