Seeking to Fictionaly Combinine Buddhism & Vampires
Okay, brief explanation, as there wasn't a simplier title that came to mind. I'm hosting a table top game this month, and I wish to subvert the usual vampire tropes with my main antagonist. Instead of having holy water or symbols of Christianity ward him off, I want to use Buddhism, or failing in that, a different religion associated with ancient Japan.
My hope is that I some people in this subreddit could point me in the right direction, or help me figure out how I can best make use of my story change to fully flesh out Buddhist beliefs. I don't want to merely reskin a crusafix into a Buddhist relic, as I wish to accurately portray the different symbols and the deeper meaning they have.
